There are many interesting villages and ruins on this road; Tipon ruins are extensive and include baths, terraces, irrigation systems, was an agricultural laboratory and a temple complex; Oropesa village and his church contains a fine ornately pulpit; the Huari (pre-Inca) adobe wall ruins of Piquillacta surrounds the Laguna de Huacarpay, birdwatching around the lake is a perfect complement; Andahuaylillas village with a fine early 17th-century church (the 'Andean Sistine Chapel') with beautiful frescoes, a splendid doorway and a gilded main altar.

Sotheast of Cusco Tour - Itinerary

We will pick up our passengers from their hotels at 8:00 AM, after which we will start our journey by bus. We will start our tour in Tipon complex, later will visit Oropesa village, Piquillacta ruins and finally Andahuaylillas village. In the afternoon we will take the bus back to Cusco, arriving around 4:00 PM.
