Peru Highlands Tour - Itinerary

Day 1: Lima

Arrival in Lima, reception and transfer to your hotel.

Day 2: Lima - Cusco

Flight to Cusco the Ancient Capital of the Incas. A guided tour of Cusco will include visit to the inca fortress of Sacsayhuaman, Tambomachay, Quenqo and the Qoricancha temple (Santo Domingo Temple). Dinner and folkloric show in the evening. Overnight accommodation.

Day 3: Cusco - Sacred Valley - Aguas Calientes

At the morning excursion to Urubamba, the sacred Valley of the Incas with a visit to the ancient inca market of Pisac followed by a trip to the Pisac ruins above the town. Lunch before continue the tour to Ollantaytambo, site of the last undefeated bastion of the Inca Empire train journey to Aguas Calientes. Overnight accommodation.

Day 4: Aguas Calientes - Machu Picchu - Cusco

After your breakfast at the morning a full day guided tour of Machu Picchu, the most spectacular ancient city in the world free time to enjoy this unforgettable site, returning to Cusco aboard the afternoon train last night Acomodation in Cusco.

Day 5: Cusco - Puno

Departure by private vehicle to Puno we will visit in the route several Inca ruins and the remains of the great Wiracocha Temple, Raqchi. We shall also stop at the highest point along the way, La Raya before arriving to Puno, transferring to your hotel. overnight accommodation.

Day 6: Puno - Lake Titicaca

After the breakfast, transfer to the port for the boat trip on Lake Titicaca to the reed islands of Uros. A visit to the Aymara Island of Taquile before return in the afternoon to Puno. Overnight accommodation.

Day 7: Puno - Arequipa

Morning transfer to the airport of Juliaca to take the flight to Arequipa, one of the most beautiful cities in Perú, city tour of the “white city” including the 16th century convent which is built entirely of volcanic lava. The Misti Volcano stands as a sentinel behind this colonial city. Overnight accommodation.

Day 8: Arequipa - Colca Canyon

After breakfast we will drive through wonderful scenery towards the Colca Canyon, witnessing group o f wild alpacas, vicuñas and huanacos in their natural habitat. Arrical to Chivay, the main town of the canyon in time for lunch. Transfer to your hotel, located in the canyon itself. Free afternoon fir personal leisure overnight accommodation.

Day 9: Colca Canyon - Arequipa

An early start visit the Colca Canyon, the second deepest in the world (the deepest canyon lies only a few kilometers from here) we shall also have an opportunity to see the huge Condor (vultur griffus), the worlds largest flying bird before returning to Arequipa overnight accommodation.

Day 10: Arequipa - Lima

Return flight to Lima free day and leisure, farewell Dinner.

Day 11: Lima

Transfers to the Airport for you return flight home.
