Q'eros Community Trek

The Nation Q´ero is considered by many historians to be the last Inca Community, ever since historians Oscar Nuñes del Prado, Efrain Morote and Mario Escobar made the first visit to the Nation Q´ero in 1955, a date that became synonymous with the discovery of the last hereditary line of the Incas. The ancestral customs and the names of the shamans (Paqos) have been preserved in the hierarchical structure that was attributed to Pachamama (The Mother Earth) Pampamesayoq and Altomesayoq, as well as their techniques of cultivation and iconography. Over the last few decades, historians and anthropologist have visited the Nation Q´ero, including the former first lady of Perú Elian Karp, who took an interest in learning more about the Nation Q´ero and showing the world the last known Inca Community. In the imperial Inca city of Cusco, to be identified as a Q´ero was be greeted with respect and reverence and invited to eat in your home, because of their important historical status.
