Arequipa tour countryside midday
The city of Arequipa is located at 2300 m, also called the white city by the constructions made of sillar (blocks of rocks of volcano). Arequipa is surrounded on one side by landscapes of the Andes and the other of the coast, this city founded in the year 1540 is at the foot of the volcano Misti 5822 m, its architecture comprises numerous buildings with colonial architecture, one of the main attractions of the city is the convent of Santa Catalina dating back to the 17th century.
Pick up of the passengers from the hotel to leave the city of Arequipa with direction to the viewpoint of Sachaca, from where you have a spectacular view of the whole city of Arequipa and the volcano Misti, after the explanation of our guide we will continue with direction to the mansion of the founder, a construction of the colonial era where the founder of the city of Arequipa, Manuel García de Carbajal lived. After appreciating this beautiful mansion we will continue our tour towards the mill of Sabandia, construction made of volcanic rock (sillar) dating from 1785, finally return to Arequipa.
