Cusco – Ollantaytambo – Machu Piucchu – Cusco
Morning, at 06:00 hrs, we pick you up from your hotel in Cusco and start the bus trip to the train station in Ollantaytambo. We recommend not to carry a lot of luggage to Machu Picchu, just a small backpack. We arrive around 07:30 hrs and then we board the train that will take us to the town of Aguas Calientes. This whole trip takes about 4 hours.
During the trip the tourist will be able to appreciate beautiful landscapes like the traditional villages that are at the foot of the Andes, as well as the beautiful Urubamba River that crosses the Sacred Valley of the Incas.
You will arrive to Aguas Calientes around 09:30 hrs. There we will take the bus up (25 min) that will take us on a zigzag road to one of the 7 Wonders of the Modern World, Machu Picchu. At 10:00 a.m. begins the guided tour of the Inca Citadel of Machu Picchu, which lasts approximately 2 hours. Here, we will visit the most important places of the Sanctuary, such as the Main Square, the Circular Tower, the Solar Clock, the Royal Rooms, the Temple of the Three Windows, the Royal Cemeteries and more.
At the convenient time we will take the return bus to Aguas Calientes where you can have lunch with peace of mind. If you have some time left, you can visit the thermal baths, walk around the village, the craft market, etc. At 7:00 hrs we will take the train that will take us back to the train station of Ollantaytambo. This trip takes about two hours. At 21:40 hrs we will take the bus that will take us back to the city of Cusco. We will arrive approximately at 10:30 p.m.

How to go from Aguas Calientes village to Machu Picchu?
Here we have two ways to get Machu Picchu from Machu Picchu town.
1) Taking a bus is the included option in the package. The trip will take about 25 minutes approximately. This bus will leave you at the entrance of the Machu Picchu citadel. The bus tickets from Aguas Calientes to Machu Picchu are administered by the CONSETTUR company, which have offices in Cusco and Machu Picchu town.
2) If you like walking and enjoying nature. There is a route that ends with stairs properly signposted. The walk on average will take 1 hour and a half depend of you witch way would you like to take.
How much luggage can I take on the tour?
We recommend to bring a small backpack with some clothes for just one day it colud be weight of 6 pounds (3 kg).
When should I reserve the tour?
Depending on your plans. it depend of the season, normally we recomend 2 month in advance but in the month fro June to August we recomend 3 or 4 months in advance.
I already have my ticket to Machu Picchu purchased, is it possible to reserve the Machu Picchu full Day Trip by discounting the entrance of Machu Picchu price?
Yes. just when you are making the reservation inform us that you already have purchased your Machu Picchu ticket and we will do automatically the discount of the ticket cost that is 152.00 soles (U$D. 41.00 ) per person.
How is the weather in Machu Picchu?
Machu Picchu is located between the Andes Mountains and the Amazon rainforest, having a warm and hot, with an average minimum temperature of 12 ° C and an average maximum temperature of 25 ° C.
